Galindo made his debut against Matt Castle for Castle's Intercontinental Title, but he came up short since Joe Wolf (who had recently won the lottery) paid off the referee. Galindo became the interim GTS Champion on May 10, 2017, marking his first championship win in GTS Wrestling. Galindo was offically released which was announced by Grim at Battleballs 2017
